Student-Athlete Mental Health and Performance

We're here for you.

The Built4Life Student Athlete Center is a safe place for you.

Mission
Student-athletes face pressures on and off the field that can affect their mental health, well-being, relationships, and school performance. We seek to provide excellent support and treatment to student-athletes experiencing these pressures to help them become healthy, balanced, and successful students and athletes.

What should I expect from my appointment?

The focus is on you.

Our counselors are here to discuss your needs, including school, sports, and anything in-between. Appointments are scheduled at your own pace, and a variety of times are available as to not conflict with your academic schedule. All meetings are conducted one-on-one in a private space, and anything said during the meeting is kept confidential. Subjects that may be addressed include coping skills, emotional resilience, and relationship advice. These services are also completely free to all our student-athletes, and can be started or stopped at any time.

Common mental health concerns among student-athletes include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, homesickness, trauma, concerns about appearance or body image, and post-injury emotional recovery. If you're experiencing any of these, there's no need to experience it alone. Come meet with a mental health counselor today.

Who can I meet with?

Any of our mental health counselors would love to meet with you. You can set up an appointment by accessing their contact information below, or just come in for a visit while the center is open.
